tales of folk - A retreat into comfort

The pace of the world is getting faster all the time. We long for things to slow down and a chance to find some peace and comfort. In our search for time and leisure, we think more about genuine traditional values, such as family, home and the love of nature. Within the shelter of the family we enjoy the pleasure of sharing with one another, and it is there that we find peace and security. We feel comfortable in the warmth of a protective home environment, and rediscover familiar habits and everyday things. Sharing meals together, the pleasure of a favourite leather armchair with its timeless design; the home gives us strength and confidence. Surrounded by the people we love, we savour the calm and listen to the old stories that have been handed down over the years: the Tales of Folk.

Hair is full, luxuriant, and bursting with health and vitality. Natural, rich colours ranging from shimmering blonde to fiery red and warm browns are complemented by golden highlights, giving the impression that the hairstyle is bathed in its own „light“. Cut and length are extremely varied, reflecting the natural character of the trend. Volume, meaning both waves and curls, is at the heart of the styles. The hair is either wild and free, as if the wind was blowing through each individual strand, or tamed in ponytails, plaits and knots, perhaps accentuated with ribbons.
Among the natural materials that surround us such as tough leather and earthy clay, solid, original wood plays a key role. It is the material that shapes our house and our furniture, framing our window, our outlook on the world. Clothing evokes the old pioneering age, wandering journeymen and styles of traditional costumes from days gone by. Coarsely woven patchwork-like fabrics made from cotton, wool, corduroy or felt are used in jacquards and intricate patterns, all adorned with dainty embroidery and fine lacework. Femininity is emphasised by fitted blouses with tight aprons and wide skirts. Men wear outfits that evoke tough, hard-wearing work clothes, in conjunction with heavy, comfortable knitted clothing.
A rustic fusion of the old and the new.
