Ei-Co

Collie (Eli) Vanunu, joint head of the „Ei-Co“, team, was born in 1968, near Haifa. He is an enthusiastic guitarist and musician, but when he was just 14 years old he also started cutting his friends’ hair. And then, he recalls, a whole new world opened up for him when he began his apprenticeship as a hairstylist.
Even though he now has a recording studio in his home and is a virtuoso performer on his instrument, he has never regretted his choice of career.
With his partner, Ethan Naim, the Israeli operates two of the most up-and-coming salons in Tel Aviv, with a total staff of 17 employees.

What, for you, makes Wella a special business partner?
More than any other company, Wella understands what stylists need and shares our vision.

What in your opinion is special about Trend Vision?
Trend Vision is a fantastic project in every way. You feel like a film star on the set.

As a hairstylist, what would you still really like to achieve?
We have achieved many of our goals already - taking part in the Trend Vision project, for one. We are also going to appear at the Alternative Hairshow in London in October.

Do you follow a particular philosophy in your work?
Simplicity, commitment and music.

What do you think is the source of your creativity?
Music. As well as being incredibly talented musicians, stars like David Bowie create fashion trends through the image they present. As a stylist I really admire the work of Vidal Sassoon.

Whose hair would you really like to style one day?
Kate Moss - she has a really beautiful, classical face.
